Zach Davies successfully one-upped teammate Brandon Woodruff Saturday night as he lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 3-0 shut-out of the Tampa Bay Rays. Davies pitched seven innings of one hit ball while Jacob Barnes and Anthony Swarzak kept the Rays in check to preserve the shutout. Orlando Arcia’s RBI double would be the only run the Brewers would need, driving in Keon Broxton in the third inning. The Brewers added insurance in 9th inning with Hernan Perez slugging his 12th home run of the year and Eric Thames getting credit for a RBI after Jesus Aguilar scored on a wild pitch. The series sweep remains in order as the Brewers face the Rays in a Sunday matinee beginning at 12:10 p.m.
