The Milwaukee Brewers shutout the Miami Marlins 2-0 Friday night as rookie pitcher Brandon Woodruff pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win in his major league debut. The Brewers’ Orlando Arcia went 3 for 3 with a home run and triple to lead the offense. Milwaukee’s bullpen shut down the Marlins as Corey Knebel picked up his 21st save of the season. Game two of the series is this afternoon with first pitch slated for 5:10 p.m. Zach Davies will look to pick up his 13th win of the season when he takes the mound this evening. The Brewers closed with 1/2 game of the NL Central leading Chicago Cubs with Friday nights win.
