The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Washington Nationals 8-5 on Wednesday night. Jimmy Nelson started for the Brewers and was his usual self. He went seven innings giving up two runs while striking out ten Nationals on the night. After he left the game, Washington put up seven runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Milwaukee looked to be in the drivers seat all game being up 2-0 through the first six innings. Domingo Santana crushed a solo shot in the first inning. Also, newly called up Lewis Brinson hit his first homer of his young career in the ninth inning but the rally fell short.
Milwaukee will now take on the Nationals in game three Thursday afternoon. First pitch will be thrown out at 11:05.
