Travis Shaw’s solo homer in the 8th inning snapped a 2-all tie and helped the Brewers secure a 3-2 win over the Phillies at Miller Park. It was appropriate the Brewers used the long ball to score a win on the same night the 1982 pennant winning team, known as “Harvey’s Wallbangers” for the ability to hit homers, was being honored. Hernan Perez also homered for Milwaukee. Jimmy Nelson held the Phillies in check surrendering just three hits in 6 2/3 innings of work. The Brewers have won 11 of 13 and go for the three-game sweep of the Phillies Sunday afternoon. Matt Garza will pitch for the crew, while Jeremy Hellickson gets the ball for Philadelphia.
