Jeffrey Alberts and Derik LeCaptain combined on a two-hitter to propel Ahnapee to a 6-1 victory over Gibraltar Thursday. Ahnapee broke the game open with a five-run third inning highlighted by a bases loaded clearing triple by Jaeger Brusky. Ryan Jacobson and Anthony Moore led off the inning with singles followed by a walk to Jacob Moeller.
Jacobson had three hits and Brusky had two to lead the Ahnapee offensive attack. Alberts pitched four and one-third innings to earn the win.
Trevor Reinhardt took the loss for Gibraltar throwing a complete game allowing six hits. Reinhardt had an RBI double to drive in the lone Gibraltar run.
