The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-0 Wednesday in a shutout to complete the series sweep. Matt Garza held is own against the Orioles lineup going six and 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out four in his effort. All-star Corey Knebel came in the ninth and struck out the side to close the game out.
‘The Crew’ did most of their offensive damage in the fourth inning. Ryan Braun started out the inning with a with a double. Domingo Santana drove him in for an RBI single to push their lead to 2-0. Then Keon Broxton added a few more insurance runs with a 404 foot bomb and the Brewers never looked back.
The Milwaukee Brewers will travel to Chicago for a big series with the Cubs over the weekend. Milwaukee currently holds a 3.5 game lead over them heading into the series. First pitch from Chicago will be at 1:20.
