The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-2 on the Fourth of July. There were fireworks from the Brewers bats as they hit four home runs on the day. Eric Thames went deep twice to move his home run total to 23 on the season. Stephen Vogt and Travis Shaw smacked one out each themselves.
Jimmy Nelson started for ‘The Crew’ putting in seven innings of shutout ball while striking out eight on the afternoon. The Brewers have now pushed their lead to three and a half games over the holiday weekend. They have four games left before the all-star break begins.
The Brewers will play the last game of a four game series against the Orioles tonight. First pitch will be thrown out at 6:10. The week will end with a three game weekend series against the Cubs before the All-Star Break.
