The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Atlanta Braves 7-0 in a game that belonged to ‘The Crew’ from the start. Zach Davies threw seven scoreless innings to keep Atlanta’s offense at bay. Paolo Espino also threw two scoreless innings himself to close out the game.
Travis Shaw kicked off the first inning with a two-run homer that traveled 429 feet. One of the longest home runs so far in Atlanta’s new ballpark. Keon Broxton added a solo shot in the second inning to put the Brewers up 3-0. ‘The Crew’ put up four more runs after that to add to the shutout Sunday.
The Brewers will be off on Monday and begin a series with the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. First Pitch will be thrown out at 6:10.
