The Milwaukee Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 in an absolute thriller Thursday night. Eric Thames launched a two-run homer in the top of the ninth to Milwaukee up for good. Oliver Drake came in to shut the door on the Cardinals striking out two batters in the bottom of the ninth.
Keon Broxton was the talk around the MLB last night after he hit a 500 foot bomb in the second inning. The second longest home run in the MLB this season. It is great news for ‘The Crew’ as their bats have come alive again with a two and a half game lead of the NL Central.
The Brewers will now fly back to Milwaukee to take on the Padres in a weekend series. First pitch will be thrown out at 7:10 tonight.
