The mosquitoes weren’t the only things with a bite last night in major league softball action at PBI field. The Lions (2-6) were vicious and picked up their second win of the season over the Cut Hut (2-4-1) in the 19-7 win. The Lions were determined to get a win for coach Greg Brauer’s birthday and coach Brauer ended up with a surprise victory shower from his team at the end of the game. The Cut Hut tried a few new names on the mound with Tegan Ellefson, Kinsey Nellis, and Maddie Propsom all got a chance to pitch. The Lions pitcher Brianna Riveria was the winning pitcher and McKenzie Dvorak-Fish was the leading hitter. Kinsey Nellis was the leading hitter with two hits for the Cut Hut.
