Racing is a business solely dependent on weather and yesterday Mother Nature won. The 2:00 PM start at the Hill was not to be as heavy rain hit the track just as racing was scheduled to begin. Hill Promoter Martin Kelsey said despite their best efforts to get the track in shape, there was nothing they could do.
“We tried our best at The Hill to get a show in. You cannot plan for rain and Mother Nature hit us hard. Just know the race will not be lost and is rescheduled for August. We don’t lose nights of racing at The Hill. (We) just move them accordingly to what the weather brings us.” Kelsey said.
The next race is scheduled for Saturday, June 24 at 6:00 PM.
