Jonathan Villar and Domingo Santana each hit homeruns to put the Milwaukee Brewers in a 6-3 come-from-behind victory against the Giants last night. The win puts the ‘Brew Crew’ back in first place in the National League Central Division at (32-28).
Jimmy Nelson earned the win bumping him to (4-3) on the season. His six strikeout performance was aided by a two-out double that drove in a run in the fifth. Milwaukee would never look back from that point. Villar, Santana and Aguilar all finished with two hits and one RBI.
Corey Knebel again slammed the door shut on the Giants in the ninth inning. He earned his seventh save of the season.
The four-game series concludes from Miller Park today at 12:10 PM. The Brewers will then open up a seven-game road trip with the first three games coming from Arizona tomorrow.
