LuVergn Anna Marian Miller, 92, Brussels, died Monday May 22, 2017 at Atrium Kewaunee Post Acute Care. she was born Oct. 13, 1924 in the Town of Brussels to John and Edna (Behling) Pavlik.
LuVergn attended the Red River, Kolberg and Gardner grade schools and graduated from the Brussels High School on May 21, 1943. LuVergn married Harvey Miller on Sept. 21, 1946 at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church. She had a variety of interesting occupations, including ship and aircraft building in San Diego, CA during WWII and Marchant’s Bakery in Brussels. She baked special occasion cakes on her own for about six years, then made and sold ceramics for 10 years. She retired from 40 years of farming with her husband in 1987.
She loved sports, especially the Packers and player Donald Driver, Nascar and the Kolberg Braves Baseball. She never missed a Sundayafternoon game. Loved watching many family members through the years, including her brothers, sons, nephews and grandsons play for Kolberg.
She is survived by her sons Terry (Pam) Miller, Forestville; Rick Miller, Brussels; brother Lowell (Jane ) Pavlik, Forestville; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Lyla Pavlik, brother Loren Pavlik and daughter-in-law Sandra Miller.
Family and friends may call at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Kolberg, Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 9:30 AM until the time of services at 11:30 AMwith Rev. Mark Falck officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
