Carol Jean Yahnke, age 78 of Kewaunee died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born at Rosiere, WI on December 25, 1938 to the late Gilbert and Rosabelle (LaCrosse) Borlee.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Parish, was an active member of the Bowling Association. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, playing cards and going to Elvis Shows.
She worked as a production supervisor at Mirro Aluminum Co. Of Manitowoc from 1961 until retiring in 2002.
Survivors include one son: Kenneth Yahnke, Green Bay; one daughter Cindy and James McCarthy, Green Bay; a special niece, Brittany Borlee, who lived with Carol; nine grandchildren: Missy Melnarik, Jesse (Renee) Yahnke, Jenny (BJ) Obry, Matthew (Amber) Yahnke, Jacob Yahnke and friend Bekah, Heather (Todd) Brusky, Tyson Kratz; two step-grandchildren: Jessica (Shane) Kofler and Brandon McCarthy; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one son: William Yahnke and one great granddaughter: Alexis Melnarik.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16 at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. A parish wake service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Douglas LeCaptain at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Kewaunee. Bural will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
