The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 4-1 Saturday night at Miller Park.
The Brewers wasted a strong start by Chase Anderson who only gave up one run in six innings of pitching. Carlos Torres gave up a solo home run to pitch-hitter Aledmys Diaz in the seventh inning and the Cardinals added to insurance runs against Oliver Drake in the ninth inning to secure the win. The Brewers lone tally was an RBI double by Travis Shaw in the first inning. The Brewers look to Jimmy Nelson on the mound Sunday afternoon to earn a split in the four game series.
