Emma Emilie Worachek, 91, of Casco, passed away on April 7, 2017. She was born on October 1, 1925 to the late Fred and Augusta (Naguschewsai) Hiller in Milwaukee, WI. She lived in Milwaukee until 1938 and then moved to Brookside in Oconto County. Emma finished her schooling and then moved to Green Bay where she worked and met her future husband Anthony Worachek. She and Anthony were married on August 12, 1947. Together they raised 10 children and farmed in the Casco and Slovan areas. The family farm is still in operation today. Emma was a member of the Holy Trinity Alter Society.
Emma is survived by her children Mary Ann (Wayne) Gilson, Green Bay; Raymond Worachek, Casco; Paul Worachek, Forestville; Steve (Vicki) Karnitz, Algoma; Alice (Jon) Stevenson, Green Bay; Lucy Ihlenfeldt, Kewaunee; Ed Worachek, Dyckesville; Ken Worachek, Casco; and Rose (Glenn) Jorgenson, Rhinelander; sister Elsie Blahnik; and sister-in-law Florence Worachek. Emma was also blessed to be survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony and son Philip Worachek.
Visitation will be held on Friday April 14, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home in Casco and continue Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
