The Milwaukee Brewers earned their first win of the season Wednesday night 6-1 over the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park. Wily Peralta earned the win in a five inning outing. He struck out five and walked just one while allowing no earned runs. The Rockies only run came in the top of the ninth inning after the game was well in hand.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when the Brewers plated three runs. Eric Thames blasted his first homerun as a Brewer. Jonathan Villar also homered and Travis Shaw tallied two RBI in the win.
The fourth and final game of the season opening series with Colorado will begin today with a 12:40 PM first pitch.
