Businesses and customers of Charter Communications experienced life without the internet, phones and cable television on Friday morning. A fiber optic line in Fond du Lac was cut at 7:00 AM causing an outage that lasted over three hours in Door County. Bayside Home Medical Manager Eric Hagen says they were able to serve their customers despite the phone and internet outage.
According to a Charter Communications news release, the fiber was cut by an unaffiliated company doing roadwork. Service was restored shortly after 10 AM Friday in Door County.
