The housing crunch in Sturgeon Bay expects to get a little bit of relief in the near future. The city and S.C. Swiderski LLC have an approved development agreement that will build a 56-unit multi-family housing development on Sturgeon Bay’s west side. With a housing vacancy rate of around three percent, Door County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Caleb Frostman says it is no secret the building is important.
According to the DCEDC, the city of Sturgeon Bay is in discussion with other developers to build additional multi-family housing developments.
