The village of Sister Bay is working on a multi-phased approach to address traffic congestion in its downtown. In the immediate future, two parking lots will be created to generate at least 90 spots and a goat-themed trolley will be traveling between the village’s downtown and different hotels on summer weekends. Village administrator Zeke Jackson says Sister Bay officials have also contacted civil engineering firm Robert E. Lee and Associates to conduct a comprehensive traffic study to see what other improvements can be made.
Jackson hopes to add another trolley if the program is successful and implement its own bike sharing system in the future.
