Funding for road projects in Wisconsin figures to continue to be a hot topic as state legislators continue to work on the budget. Toll roads, tax increases, and loans have been some of the ideas floated by state leaders since the Legislative Audit Bureau announced the possibility of a $1 billion shortfall over the next two years if revenues and spending do not change. State Senator Dave Hansen says the answer should not be with the general fund either with so many other projects in need of financial support.
Wisconsin State Legislature members are back in session for almost two weeks beginning on Tuesday.
