Cheese aficionads from across the country and around the world are learning that Luxemburg is making some of the best. Master cheesemakers Terry Lensmire and Roger Krohn of Agropur captured best in class awards at last week’s U.S. Cheese Championships in Green Bay for their provolone and part-skim mozzarella entries. This is in addition to an aged cheddar made by Lensmire that captured second place overall at the championships. Krohn Dairy Store manager Heather Weisspeters says it speaks to the commitment to quality its cheesemakers have for their craft.
Luxemburg cheesemakers captured five medals at the U.S. Championships, adding to their hauls at the biennial world championships and the Wisconsin State Fair.
