The battle-tested Badgers, led by three members of the 2015 NCAA runners-up face a tough test if they want to keep their tournament hopes alive in the form of the tournament’s top-seeded Villanova Wildcats. The Badgers were able to win the “8-9” contest against the Virginia Tech Hokies by a score of 84-74 on the back of Bronson Koenig’s record eight 3-pointers. The Wildcats got out of the gates slowly in their first round game against the number sixteen seed Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers, leading for only 46 seconds of the first-half before second half adjustments led Nova to a 20-point win. The Badgers would do well to take advantage if Nova stumbles out of the starting blocks Saturday afternoon.
