A collaborative effort between state and local agencies will introduce skills to parents wanting to help their kids become thinking children. The UW-Extension, Door County Partnership For Children and Families, the Boys and Girls Club of Door County, University of Wisconsin Partnership program, and the Door County Public Health Department will team up to present an eight-week series of workshops designed to help parents teach their children how, not what, to think. Door County UW-Extension Family Living Educator Tenley Koehler says parents can learn a lot not just from the speakers, but from each other as well.
The workshops will take place every Monday from April 3 to May 22 at the Boys and Girls Club of Door County with a free family meal and child care offered beginning at 6 p.m. You can find registration information with this story online.
