A written plan with insight on the money coming in and going out on a monthly basis can give you an idea of what your spending habits are and how to make adjustments where needed. Gay Pustaver from Money Management Counselors suggests couples start at the ground floor and find ways to make monthly expenses like heating and water bills get paid at better times for them.
