The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is asking for community feedback on the future of its jail. The current facility was built in 1968 and has seen its maximum capacity of 22 inmates stretched at times over the last 50 years. Sheriff Matt Joski says the current facility does not meet the current needs of people who find themselves in unfortunate situations.
The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department hopes to post additional information about their current facility, including the results of a 2016 Justice and Jail Analysis, on its Web site in the coming weeks.
