The 8th Annual Door County Short Film Festival saw a sweep of the awards and near-sold out sessions last weekend. Sponsored by the Sister Bay Advancement Association, the festival features international competition from around the world. Sister Bay Civic Organization Coordinator Chris Milligan says the event added a local flavor last Friday evening.
A total of 21 short films were shown Saturday with “Shimmer”, a film directed by Komin Lee of Taiwan, winning both the People’s Choice Award and the Jury Award at the festival. Over 80 hours of short films were entered, according to Milligan. The films will be provided an additional forum by being shown at Sister Bay Pavilion this summer as an abbreviated film festival.
