The Door-Kewaunee Drug Task Force has been able to take more than 30 people off the street because of their recent investigations. Raids began last Monday when the task force made 19 arrests through three search warrants and one probation search in Door County. One day later, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department announced it had made six arrests of its own. As both counties continued to add names throughout the week, Door County Chief Deputy Pat McCarty says this is one of the biggest drug busts he has ever been a part of thanks in part to its relationship with other agencies.
Based on information gathered from suspects throughout the week, McCarty says the task force executed one additional search warrant on Saturday in the town of Nasewaupee, but no arrests were made.
