Sturgeon Bay School District is doing its part to help its students find careers after they leave their doors. The school’s youth apprenticeship program connects students with careers in manufacturing while others can choose one centered on becoming a certified nursing assistant. While partnering with local technical schools and businesses, Superintendent Dan Tjernagel says the district’s implementation of its youth options programs has provided lots of opportunities beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Tjernagel credits staff members Seth Wilson and Brian Paul for their efforts for developing an innovation center and helping move the programs forward into the future.
