Forty different cheese varieties and six different wineries will be featured when the Southern Door Future Farmers of America Alumni hosts their annual Door County Wine and Cheese Gala on March 10. The annual event has raised thousands of dollars for scholarships for FFA students and helps defray the costs to attend leadership conferences and different competitions. Rich Olson from the Southern Door FFA Alumni says its members have gotten to take part in some different opportunities that they might not get anywhere else.
Olson estimates the organization raises close to $12,000 over three different events throughout the year to help support its current and graduating members. You can find information on the event and learn about one member who benefited from the generosity of the Southern Door FFA by clicking here.
