The Door County Silent Sports Alliance is laying out its plan to help outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the county even more. Called the “trail vision,” the DCSSA is working with private landowners and officials at state, county, and local parks to upgrade current trails and expand the offerings if possible. Using the improvements made to Marquette, Mich.-area trails as a model, Randy Sahs from the DCSSA hopes its quality of trails will help bring more residents and tourists to the outdoors.
The DCSSA has been working with the International Mountain Biking Association to help learn more about trail building and maintenance to benefit bikers, hikers, runners, and other silent sports enthusiasts.
