Eight months of investigation by the Door/Kewaunee Drug Task Force climaxed Monday with the execution of three search warrants and several arrests throughout the area. The investigation focused on the sale and delivery of illicit drugs such as heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy, LSD, cocaine, marijuana, and prescription drugs. With help from the Door County SWAT team, police departments in Kewaunee and Sturgeon Bay, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Wisconsin State Patrol, and the Brussels Fire Department, the Door/Kewaunee Task Force has arrested 21 people, according to a press release from the Door County Sheriff’s Department. The task force also executed two search warrants in town of Nasewaupee and one in Brussels. A probation search was also done in the town of Sevastopol.
