Working a couple days a week to help build a home is not the only way Door County Habitat for Humanity is finding volunteers these days. Whether it is their recently held Furniture Blitz or an average day at the ReStore, Door County Habitat for Humanity has been able to attract volunteers that do not necessarily know how to swing a hammer. Executive Director David Van Dyke knows how busy people can get during the summer, which is why recruiting is a constant when it comes to his organization.
With the groundbreaking on the Door County Habitat for Humanity’s 40th home build a couple months away, you can learn more about volunteer opportunities by contacting the organization directly. You can also learn more about other volunteer opportunities in the area by contacting the Volunteer Center of Door County.
