The Luxemburg-Casco Spartan boys hung on to defeat the Denmark Vikings in North Eastern Conference basketball Monday night 75-70 before a packed house in Luxemburg for Senior Night.
Luxemburg-Casco (17-1, 18-3 overall) led 36-26 at intermission and withstood a late comeback bid from Denmark to prevail. The Spartans were led by Mitchell Jandrin’s game high 26 points including three consecutive baskets late in the game to seal the victory. Nathan Coisman added 13 points by scoring in the paint and at the free throw line.
Prior to the game, Luxemburg-Casco made a special presentation to the six seniors on the team. Jandrin, Bryce Te Kulve, Jon Deprey, Mitchell Ronsman, Jacob Wortuba and Mason Isenberg.
The next Spartan basketball broadcast game that can be heard on WBDK 96.7FM will be this Friday as the #2 seeded L-C girls will host Tuesday’s winner of the Menasha/Green Bay Southwest game in a regional semi-final. Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will have the call with the pregame show at 6:30pm and tip-off at 7:00pm. The next Spartan boys’ basketball broadcast will be next Friday, March 3 as the #2 seeded Spartans will host the winner of Menasha/Green Bay Southwest in a regional sem-final.
