It is not every day you see an entire building being towed down a street, but that is exactly what happened in Egg Harbor Thursday afternoon. The Lighthouse Inn, the bed and breakfast owned by Claire and Frank Murphy for 15 years, was moved down Church Street to a village parking lot to make way for construction crews for the planned Egg Harbor Library and Community Center. Village administrator Ryan Heise says work will start right away.
The Lighthouse Inn will be on the move again in the near future as the village waits to have utilities moved so the building can cross County E.
