The banking industry has been facing consolidations and buyouts in the last decade that has made independent banks the exception rather than the rule in Wisconsin. New President and CEO of Bank of Luxemburg Tim Treml says through independent bank’s community involvement, special loan programs for businesses has been recently expanded by the Bank of Luxemburg in the area.
Treml says that community banks face challenges with new government regulations, but with the flexibility offered by smaller community banks, the future looks bright. A community bank is a depository institution that is typically locally owned and operated.
