Even though no major snow events are in sight, local school administrators are still keeping their eyes out for potential winter events that could delay the end of the school year even longer. Door and Kewaunee County school districts have had to shut their doors twice so far this year due to winter weather and unsafe travel conditions. Algoma School District Superintendent Nick Cochart says the closures have already pushed out the end of their year four days and fears more are to come.
Cochart says high seniors are often not affected by snow days due to their set graduation date.
