The Village of Egg Harbor received good news on Tuesday regarding a State Trust Fund Loan allocation for the new library and community center that is being built. The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands (BCPL) approved a loan of $1,507,500 to finance the construction of the building. Village Administrator Ryan Heise says the loan was needed to help finance a generous donation it received for the project.
The BCPL operates on program revenue, without taxpayer money and distributes more than 96 cents of every dollar of interest earned from the loan to Wisconsin’s public schools. Egg Harbor expects to begin site work at the new library and community center location later this month with completion by late fall, according to Heise.
