Five boys and six girls from Door and Kewaunee County will advance to the diocesan level of the Wisconsin Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship after competing at the district level at St. John Bosco Gymnasium in Sturgeon Bay. District Deputy for District 4 of the Wisconsin Knights of Columbus Bill Hitt says the sharp-shooting contest was very competitive.
The free competition was open to all boys and girls ages nine through 14 that had won at their respective councils in Door and Kewaunee County. Thomas Stangel from Kewaunee made an impressive 24 of his 25 free throw attempts to claim the ten-year-old boys division.
