The community has stepped up big for Northern Door Children’s Center in the months following the cancellation of one of its marquee winter events. In addition to money raised through a variety of different fundraisers, local businesses have offered up their facilities to support the Sister Bay-based child care center. Creating a new Web site and hosting swimming lessons and a bowling event are just some of the ways northern Door businesses are making community relations director Karen Corekin proud of the place they call home.
Northern Door Children’s Center is celebrating 30 years of being a non-profit child care facility. On April 22nd, the radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com will host their WSBW Radio Day with 100% of advertising sales during the 12-hour event going to support Northern Door Children’s Center.
