Kewaunee suffered their first conference loss of the season after falling to Southern Door Friday night 47-44 in Brussels. Megan Pavlik led the way for the Eagles with 12 points while Tehya Bertrand added 10 points of her. The Eagles had to weather a comeback by the Storm after entering the second stanza up 11. Abby Baumgartner led the way for the Storm with 11 points, including knocking down the team’s shots behind the arc and at the line.
In other action across the area, Algoma outscored Sturgeon Bay 34-12 in the first half and did not look back as the Wolves topped the Clippers 50-23. Makayla Guilette led the way for the Wolves with 11 points while the Clippers’ Morgan Nelson countered with 10 points of her own.
Luxemburg-Casco improved to 9-3 in the Northeastern Conference as they beat Fox Valley Lutheran at home 58-38. Cassie Schlitz scored 22 points while teammates Jenna Jorgensen (10), Alexis Dorner (10), and Mary Cravillion (11) all added points in the double figures.
