A 44-21 loss is a pretty wide margin in the NFL. Sunday’s NFC Championship game was much more of a blow out than even the score indicates. The Green Bay Packers trailed 24-0 at half time and could do nothing to slow the freight train known as the Atlanta Falcons.
Matt Ryan completed 27/38 passes for 392 yards and four touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers tried to keep his team in it but could not match the soon to be MVP Ryan’s efficiency. Rodgers finished 27/45 for 287 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
Jared Cook was the top target Sunday hauling in seven receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown. Randal Cobb had six catches for 82 yards. Aaron Rodgers was also the games leading rusher with 46 yards.
Green Bay will have t he 29th pick in the NFL Draft. Pittsburgh will select 30th followed by the Falcons and Patriots. Super Bowl LI will be played Sunday, February 5th in Houston, Texas.
