Music has always been a big part of local musician George Sawyn’s life going back to his early teens when Rock ‘n Roll was coming to age in the early 1960’s. Sawyn , a classic guitarist who moved to Door County from Illinois seven years ago, says his mother’s love for Chet Atkins songs was a major influence in his early music years as well.
Sawyn says he later was influenced by Jazz musicians.
Sawyn, who performs for mostly private parties and weddings, has played with other local musicians like Jeanne Kuhns, Hans Christian, Katie Lott and Pat Judy.
