Door County Habitat for Humanity is looking to expand on its impact in the community even beyond its 40th home build next year in Sturgeon Bay. Much like its successful Brush with Kindness program, Door County Habitat for Humanity is looking for a neighborhood of homes in need of a “hand up” with some of their home maintenance. Executive Director David Van Dyke says it hopes embark on the project next year.
Door County Habitat for Humanity recently chose its site in the Sunset Hills subdivision for its 40th home build and hopes to break ground on the project in the spring. Volunteers, sales from the ReStore, and fundraisers like their upcoming bowling event and their recent fruit cake sale help make their efforts possible.
