The Jim Olson Motors Red Zone Monday night was a blast. Green Bay Packers Datone Jones and Brett Hundley helped WRLU celebrate the “Team of the Week,” Door County’s Strivers Gymnastics. Datone Jones asked the girls how he could improve his core strength and was doing V-Sits moments later. Brett Hundley was challenged on his flexibility and tried to do the splits.
Coaches Nikki Pollman and Amy Gamble helped introduce the defending state championship Strivers. The new Jim Olson Ford location was packed and gymnasts from 5K through juniors in high school appeared on the WRLU Red Zone. The Strivers lone home meet of the season is on February 18 and 19. Coaches and gymnasts invited the community to come out to the Sturgeon Bay YMCA and cheer them on.
The second portion of the program focused more on Green Bay’s final regular season game of the season. After Detroit’s loss to Dallas Monday night the two teams are tied atop the NFC North at (9-6). Each player likes the way the team looks right now and feel they are hitting their stride at the right time.
The Red Zone will take a New Year’s break and depending on the Packers success in the post season will be back after the NFL Wild Card Weekend.
