(KEWAUNEE, WI) – Kewaunee County Promotions & Recreation Department reports the opening of all four (4) snowmobile sections in Kewaunee County effective at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, December 18th 2016.
Trails are reported to be in Poor – Fair condition. In addition, riders should use caution near the Black Ash Swamp north of Algoma. Use Caution – Groomers may be on trails and there is thin ice on waterways and swamps!
Riders are asked to use caution as trail conditions may be less than ideal in certain areas. Plowed and open fields may lack snow cover and riders are urged to watch out for water, slush, icy patches and drifting snow along the trails. Snowmobilers are also encouraged to stay on the marked trails and respect adjoining property owners. Hundreds of gracious landowners are responsible for the County’s 290+ state-funded and club trails. Please respect their property and their privacy.
