Motorists traveling through downtown Sturgeon Bay early this afternoon should expect some delays while tugboats maneuver a barge in the canal. Selvick Marine Towing Company will be moving the 480-foot barge in between the city’s two downtown bridges after it finishes work at Bay Shipbuilding Company. Tug boat captain Don Sarter says with just 560 feet to operate with, both bridges will have to be up.
No exact time of the operation was given. The Bayview Bridge will be open for traffic for those needing to get around town.
