The uncertain future of “Obamacare” has insurance agencies and its customers left in limbo. President-elect Donald Trump and the Republican-held Congress plan to phase out six-year-old Affordable Care Act by repealing certain parts of the law including penalties for the uninsured and non-complying companies. Pete Stoneman from Stoneman-Schopf Agency in Sturgeon Bay says there is no way to predict what will happen next, causing some companies to drop out.
People are still signing up for health insurance through the federal exchange. According to the USA Today, more than four million people have chosen 2017 plans before the January 31 deadline.
