Jean Marie Granius, 71, of Brussels, WI passed away on December 14, 2016, with her family at her side. Jean was born May 27, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI to Arthur & Ruth (Lauscher) Graf. She was the middle of 7 children. On June 20, 1964, she married Gerald C. Granius in Maplewood.
Jean was a homemaker and retired from LeMense Builders, where she worked construction and painted/stained homes. She enjoyed home decorating, shopping, completing arts and craft projects in their home woodworking shop, snowmobiling and motorcycling, going to the casino, reading, cards and games. Jean was ready to go anywhere or help anyone and would find a way to make it fun. She could light up the room with her smile and outgoing personality. She especially enjoyed spending time with family, whether on their annual Phelps vacation or hanging out at home for happy hour. She also enjoyed her cats.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters: Lisa (Mike Griep) Alexander, Sherri (Greg) Dantoin, and Tracy (Jeff DeMeuse) Bertrand, and seven grandchildren: McKayla (Tyler DeBauche), Alyssa and Kendra Dantoin, Michael and Tehya Bertrand, Amber (Justin) May and Scott (Renee) Griep; brothers: Paul (Marilyn) Graf, Bill Graf, Jim (Wendy) Graf; sisters: Mary (Dennis) Bley and Dorothy (David) Michiels; and in-laws: Sandy (Dave) Barta, Leeland (Laurel Marquart) Granius.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norman; and parent’s in-law, Louis and Rose Granius.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 17th at St. Francis and St. Mary Church in Brussels, WI at 2pm. Entombment will be on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum at 11am. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12-2pm. Forbes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be set up.
