Looking to alleviate parking concerns in its downtown during peak times, the Village of Sister Bay will introduce a trolley service as a mode of public transportation next year. Born out of the village’s new parking committee, the trolley would service Sister Bay’s hotels, downtown, and the Country Walk Shops on an approximately 30 minute loop during its busiest weekends. Village Administrator Zeke Jackson says the idea came out of conversations with local officials and area businesses.
The village is currently looking for drivers for the free trolley service that will run from June 30 to August 18. The parking committee is also looking into ordinances and other ways to alleviate parking concerns in the village.
